happy belated Thanksgiving.

I spent a collective 21 (rainy) hours in the car, was in Michigan for 4 days, ate a lot of junk, made homemade gravy from turkey drippings, watched Home Alone 1 and 2, took a long hike on the sand dunes with my family, and tried to figure out Christmas shopping. I also took zero pictures and left my camera at my mom's house. I'm off in 11 days until 2010. Private school teaching has its rewards. This exciting week includes paying bills, planning some Navidad activities for my students, a little shopping, looking around on Etsy, and generally trying not to be too ansty. Ho ho ho.

  1. I won't be done until the 19th--I miss those early ends to the term. Last year I didn't finish grading until after Christmas--I'm going to try to get it done before I leave town this year. Traveling with blue books is more than a little lame.

Navidad activities sound like fun--I'll be doing exam prep with mine. I think they'd rather sing and eat, like we used to do in Spanish classes right before break...

  2. There are some good kids books about Navidad traditions that I have. I tried singing last year and it didn't go so well haha...we'll see!
